 Short Inca Trail Permit

Every year thousands of people are attracted to the City of Cusco by the energy of the Andes Mountains, but only a few can experience the magic of feeling this energy, traveling one of the most amazing walks in the world, an Inca Trail of 500 years of antiguaty. The Inca Trail is a center of beauty, mysticism, spirituality, challenge and history, built by the legendary Inca civilization. Unlike other walks in Peru and the world, the Inca Trail is a protected area.

Short Inca Trail

This is the short version of the famous and amazing Inca Trail, for those who have little time available, but in no way want to miss this unique walk and enjoy beautiful landscapes and diversity of plants such as the Orchid and variety of birds. This walk is 11 kilometers on the first day during this walk you will be able to observe and know one of the greatest cultures in South America the "Inca", "Quechua" or "Andina" culture. The capital of this culture was Q'osqo or Cusco and it spread to a large extent throughout South America (Peru, Chile, Ecuador, Bolivia, Argentina, Colombia). The Inca Trail is hidden among the Andean mountains with constructions high up in the mountains dominating the Andean Valley and part of the Peruvian Amazon. With the arrival of the conquerors this Culture was disappearing, but they left us some Signs and Relics intact as we will know during this walk.

Between the Andean mountains and tropical forest is a great Inca Trail through the mountains and the Sacred Valley. The first archaeological site we will visit is Chachabamba (2,200 m / 7,218 ft) located on the side of the Urubamba River and Wiñaywayna (2650 m / 8.696 ft) is at the top. Then we will go to the Intipunku (2,720 m / 8,924 ft) where we will have a panoramic view of Machu Picchu (2,490 m / 8,169 ft), you can also find a variety of flora and fauna as well as a variety of birds.

The walk lasts approximately 6 to 7 hours until you reach the Puerta del Sol known as Inti Punku, where you can get the first panoramic views of Machu Picchu.

The Inca Trail of 2 days will take you to know the Wonder of Machu Picchu from the first day. This two-day route includes a trek from Kilometer 104 and you will have the opportunity to see the archaeological site of Wiñay Wayna, and Puerta del Sol, Intipunku.

As well as the 4-day Classic Inca Trail, the Short Inca Trail permit is also subject to availability. The maximum number of daily spaces is 250 for each day.

The reservation of the Short Inca Trail permit is done through an authorized travel agency for the Inca Trail. The Peruvian government guarantees the safety of passengers by requiring that each passenger be part of a group led by a guide and support staff, so it is not possible to buy an entrance to the Inca Trail on their own.

To buy the Short Inca Trail permit, you must provide your full name, passport number (current), sex and date of birth. All the information provided to reserve the Inca Trail must be exact; Any error in the passport number or the name could cause them to prevent you from entering the Inca Trail. "If after reserving the Inca Trail you change your passport, you must bring both passports with you, the old and the new."

Important: If there are free tickets for the date on which you want to start the trek that will take you to one of the 7 Wonders of the Modern World, we recommend that you make your reservations as soon as possible since the tickets are sold in order of arrival.
