To all these natural wonders are added Inca constructions that are worth visiting, the architectural art harmonizes perfectly with the natural environment.

The Inca trail of two days is the best for those who have little time to visit the seventh wonder

Day 1: Inca Trail to the Sanctuary of Machu Picchu. (All-day hike).

Our clients are picked up from their respective hotels at 05:30 hrs, and then transferred to the Poroy station to board the train that will take us to KM 104, located on the Cusco - Machu Picchu railroad. Km 104 will be our starting point and we will be arriving at approximately 10:00 am. At this point we will descend from the train and start our trek to the citadel of Machu Picchu crossing the Urubamba River, through a bridge that offers a spectacular view of the mountains. During the trip we will make our first visit to one of the Inca ruins known as Cochabamba, a beautiful Inca palace with fine stone walls. After having received from our local guide an introduction about the history of the Incas, we will continue our trekking and begin to ascend a mountain covered with vegetation for about 8 km (4 hours) to reach Wiñaywayna, which is located At 2700 meters above sea level. The ruins of Wiñaywayna are the second building in this part of the most beautiful cloud forest after Machu Picchu. Wiñaywayna shows a perfect example of what agriculture was in the time of the Incas, since along its skirts lie a large number of terraces, where the Incas cultivated different agricultural products, including Coca leaf plantations. The name of Wiñaywayna comes from a beautiful orchid that abounds in the area and that has meaning in Spanish FOREVER YOUNG. After we have explored these wonderful ruins we will have lunch very close to the area. Later we will continue our walk through a cloud forest until arriving at Inti Punko or Puerta del Sol. At this point participants will have a great view of the beautiful citadel of Machu Picchu. This is a very special point since we will rest for a few minutes and take many photos of Machu Picchu. Then we will descend towards Machu Picchu, and we will go to the town of Aguas Calientes (our guided visit to Machu Picchu will be the following day) where we will spend the night in a hotel or hostel, depending on your preference. In the evening, walkers can explore the small town of Aguas Calientes and if they wish they can also go to relax in the thermal baths located in the upper part of the city, a few meters from the Plaza de Armas. For those who like to dance or have a drink in a bar. We inform you that Aguas Calientes has a great variety of bars and restaurants, including an ATM, in case you wish to withdraw money from the bank. Overnight at selected hotel.
